Our favorite French press brewing recipe

Step 1: Weigh out 20 grams of whole bean coffee
Step 2: Grind coffee medium fine (size of brown sugar)
Step 3: Heat water to 194 degrees Fahrenheit (90 degrees Celsius)
Step 4: Preheat french press carafe with hot water by pouring hot water inside, swirling around and discarding
Step 5: Add ground coffee to carafe
Step 6: Add 60 grams of water to carafe, pouring water in circular motion and wait 30 seconds
Step 7: Add 240 grams of water while pouring water in circular motion
Step 8: Place lid on top of french press and allow coffee to brew (make sure you don’t press the plunger down)
Step 9: Wait for 4 minutes
Step 10: Remove lid and break the crust of the coffee by skimming the top with the back of a spoon while pushing the grounds from the middle to the sides of the french press
Step 11: Place lid on top of french press and wait 1 minute and 30 seconds
Step 12: Press plunger until it sits just above the liquid (don’t press it into the coffee)
Step 13: Pour coffee into mug slowly used the mesh of the plunger as a strainer (there will be a little coffee left behind with the grounds)
